KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • The Disney Wish, Treasure, Destiny and Believe share one design. 1923, Worlds of Marvel, Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté are on every ship.

  • What changes from ship to ship is the theme, the Grand Hall, one family dinner show, the headline stage show and the suites.

  • Port and length usually decide it: the Treasure sails 7 nights, the Wish 3 or 4 from Port Canaveral, the Destiny mostly 4 or 5, and the Believe 4 or 5 from Fort Lauderdale from December 18, 2027.

  • For January to April 2028 verandahs, the four land within about $80 a night of each other.

I'VE SAILED THE WISH twice, the Treasure for a full week with seven friends, and the Destiny in its first season. The fourth sister, the Disney Believe, arrives in December 2027. All four share the same design, so when clients ask me which one to book, I start with the trip they're planning.

This guide covers what the four have in common, what sets each apart, where each one sails through spring 2028 and what each costs per night. If you're deciding between the Wish and the Believe specifically, I compared those two in detail in Disney Believe vs Disney Wish: Is It Just Wish 2.0?

Quick answer: Book the Treasure for a full week in the Caribbean. Book the Wish for a 3- or 4-night first taste from Port Canaveral, close to Walt Disney World. Book the Destiny for the deepest storytelling on a 4- or 5-night sailing. Book the Believe for the newest ship, from Fort Lauderdale starting December 18, 2027.

The short answer: which Wish-class ship for which trip

WHICH SHIP FOR WHICH TRIP

Disney Treasure, the full week. 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings from Port Canaveral. The ship that made the class feel storytelling-first to me.

Disney Wish, the first taste. 3- and 4-night Bahamas sailings from Port Canaveral, about an hour from Walt Disney World. Classic Disney storytelling with a fairytale angle.

Disney Destiny, the storytelling on a shorter sailing. Mostly 4 and 5 nights, from Fort Lauderdale until late November 2027 and from Port Canaveral after that.

Disney Believe, the newest. 4 and 5 nights from Fort Lauderdale from December 18, 2027, with the first stage version of Encanto and a new Frozen dinner show.

Price rarely decides it. For early 2028 sailings, verandah fares on all four ships land within about $80 a night of each other.

Same design, four personalities

The four ships share a hull and a layout. Every one has 1923 and Worlds of Marvel in the dining rotation, Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté for adults, and Disney Seas the Adventure in the Walt Disney Theatre. What changes from ship to ship is the theme, the Grand Hall, one family dinner show, the headline stage show and the suites.

  1. The Wish is enchantment, with Cinderella in the Grand Hall, Arendelle at dinner and The Little Mermaid on stage.

  2. The Treasure is adventure, with Aladdin and Jasmine, Plaza de Coco and The Tale of Moana.

  3. The Destiny is heroes and villains, with Black Panther, Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King and Hercules.

  4. The Believe is promise and possibility, with Moana, Oaken's Table: A Frozen Family Feast and Encanto.

The Tower Suites follow the same pattern: Moana on the Wish, EPCOT on the Treasure, Iron Man on the Destiny and the Magic Kingdom lands on the Believe.

On a short sailing, those differences come down to one dinner, one show and the lounges you end up in. For how the adult lounges feel after dark, I go ship by ship in my guide to the best Disney cruise ship for adults, and through the family dinner shows in my rotational dining guide.

Where and how long each one sails, 2026 to 2028

This is where I'd start. Pick the port and the length, and the ship usually picks itself. To check your own dates, compare the Wish, Treasure and Destiny side by side in my ship shortlist, which covers all nine Disney Cruise Line ships.

WHERE EACH SHIP SAILS

Disney Wish: 3 and 4 nights to the Bahamas from Port Canaveral. In 2027 it leaves on April 25 for its first Europe season, sails from New York in the fall, then sails two cruises from San Juan. It's back at Port Canaveral on November 16, 2027.

Disney Treasure: 7 nights from Port Canaveral, alternating the Eastern Caribbean (Tortola and St. Thomas) and the Western Caribbean (Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Falmouth, Jamaica), with Castaway Cay on both, through April 2028.

Disney Destiny: mostly 4 and 5 nights from Fort Lauderdale until November 24, 2027. From November 30 it sails from Port Canaveral, mostly 5-night sailings to Castaway Cay, Lookout Cay and Nassau.

Disney Believe: 4 and 5 nights from Fort Lauderdale from December 18, 2027, including a 5-night run to Cozumel.

Two things follow from that. From December 2027, the Wish, the Treasure and the Destiny all sail from Port Canaveral, and the Believe is the only Wish-class ship in Fort Lauderdale. And the Treasure is the class's 7-night ship; the Destiny's regular 7-night sailings from Fort Lauderdale end in August 2027.

If Walt Disney World is part of the trip, Port Canaveral is the easier pairing. Here's how I'd combine a Disney cruise with Walt Disney World, and what the extra three nights of a 7-night sailing buy you.

What they cost per night

In the pricing analysis I ran in fall 2026, I compared January through April 2028 sailings on all four ships, using median fares for 2 adults as of late October 2026.

$874 to $955 verandah, per night, all four ships

Median verandah fares for 2 adults on January to April 2028 sailings, from the pricing analysis I ran in fall 2026 (late October).

PER NIGHT, BY SHIP

  • Disney Wish: 3 nights, verandah $915 a night ($2,746 total). 4 nights, $955 a night ($3,822 total). Concierge $1,817 to $2,052 a night.

  • Disney Treasure: 7 nights, verandah $941 a night ($6,589 total). Concierge $2,023 a night.

  • Disney Destiny (from Port Canaveral in 2028): 4 nights, verandah $874 a night ($3,498 total). 5 nights, $931 a night ($4,656 total). Concierge $1,882 to $1,915 a night.

  • Disney Believe: 4 nights, verandah $948 a night ($3,791 total). 5 nights, $881 a night ($4,404 total). Concierge $1,997 to $2,048 a night.

The 7-night Treasure costs about the same per night as a 3-night Wish. Your total moves with the number of nights. Concierge runs about twice the verandah fare on every ship, and the Believe's concierge fares climbed 5% to 10% in the second half of October 2026, while the other three held.

Wish vs Treasure

These two get compared most, and they're the easiest to separate: 3 or 4 nights against 7.

The Wish was an instant hit when it launched in 2022, and it's been the workhorse of the short Bahamas sailings ever since. I've sailed it twice, both 3-night sailings to Nassau and Castaway Cay, and both times there was more ship than time. It's popular for a reason: classic Disney storytelling, a fairytale angle and an easy first taste.

The Treasure is where the class started to feel storytelling-first to me. The Aladdin Grand Hall is where I first saw that each of these ships could have its own feel, and it introduced the Haunted Mansion Parlor. It shines on seven nights. I sailed it for a week with seven friends in its first season (here's how I planned it). Plaza de Coco is my favorite dinner show, and The Tale of Moana is probably one of my favorite Disney Cruise Line stage adaptations.

Pick the Wish for a short trip or a first cruise. Pick the Treasure when you can give it the week.

Treasure vs Destiny

Same storytelling energy, different lengths. The Destiny carries the Treasure's approach onto 4- and 5-night sailings and goes even deeper into the story. On my sailing, Cruella and Maleficent turned up in the evenings in ways that felt like part of the show, and Hercules was a standout in the theater. I stayed in an oceanview stateroom that trip and didn't miss the verandah.

Through November 2027 the two also split by port, with the Treasure in Port Canaveral and the Destiny in Fort Lauderdale. After that both sail from Port Canaveral, so the choice comes down to a week of Caribbean ports or a long weekend in the Bahamas. I go through the Destiny venue by venue in my Disney Destiny vs Disney Dream guide.

Wish vs Destiny, and where the Believe fits

The Wish and the Destiny are the two short-sailing sisters. Until late November 2027 they split the ports, Wish from Port Canaveral and Destiny from Fort Lauderdale. After that both sail from Port Canaveral, and the choice comes down to theme and length: 3 or 4 nights of fairytale on the Wish, or mostly 4 or 5 nights of heroes and villains on the Destiny.

The Believe takes over Fort Lauderdale in December 2027. It brings back what's worked on the first three ships, like a Frozen dinner show and the Haunted Mansion Parlor, and adds new pieces like Encanto. People call it Wish 2.0. I agree, and I don't think that's a bad thing. I've already booked several clients on it, and I compare it with the Wish in Disney Believe vs Disney Wish.

My take after sailing the Wish, Treasure and Destiny

I don't rank them. I match them to the trip.

If you're traveling as a group across several staterooms, the room setup matters more than the ship. Here's how I'd set up staterooms for a group. To compare staterooms on any of the four, including the Believe, line up to three side by side in my Disney cruise stateroom comparison tool.

WHY TRAVELERS WORK WITH ME

“Gabe helped us figure out which stateroom categories made the most sense for our group and what would feel comfortable for a full week at sea. Since it was during the ship’s inaugural season, I expected some hiccups, but Gabe’s suggestions helped us make the most of the new onboard offerings, reminding us about deadlines and booking windows along the way.”
